Between Wetlands and the North Sea

The New Course at Trump International Golf Links, Scotland officially opened in July 2025, completing the resort's second 18-hole layout at Menie. Its design developed from Martin Hawtree's estate masterplan, with Christian Lundin and Christine Fraser also credited for the finished course.

The routing moves through very different parts of the property. Early holes cross wetland ground, where natural pools and burns shape the required line. Heather then replaces open water before the course reaches larger dunes and the exposed North Sea edge. This changing setting keeps golfers adjusting trajectory and landing position rather than settling into one repeated style of links golf.

The par-four 9th introduces the vast natural sand face known as the President's Bunker. The short 10th follows immediately along the coastal dune ridge, offering a direct route towards the green for golfers willing to challenge the shoreline and its run-offs.

At up to 7,589 yards, the New Course has championship scale, but its six teeing options widen its appeal. Hollows, sandy scrapes, and infinity-style greens give the layout a visual identity distinct from the neighbouring Old Course.
