Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort (Druids Glen Course)

Ruddy and Craddock's Wicklow Stage

The Druids Glen Course at Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort opened in 1995, five years after Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock were commissioned to work across the Woodstock estate. Their parkland routing uses rolling ground, mature woodland, and frequent water. In 2023, the course reopened after a €10 million restoration led by Peter McEvoy. The work rebuilt every green to USGA standards and introduced extensive drainage and irrigation upgrades.

The course's character comes through in individual moments. The downhill 4th plays to a raised green set inside a pond on three sides. At the 9th, golfers cross a suspension bridge before attacking a new infinity green. The par-three 12th drops past a Celtic cross and stone bridges to a green backed by flowering banks.

From there, the 13th asks golfers to choose between laying up short of the lake or taking on the green. The 14th climbs towards a severely contoured putting surface with a 600-year-old sycamore beyond it. Woodstock House returns behind the 18th, closing a round where landscape and design remain closely connected.
